Finding your \"why\"

Hello! I’m Freya, a dedicated health coach and proud single mother of three amazing children. I specialize in helping solo mamas transform their health, rediscover themselves after divorce, and live their happiest, most vibrant lives. My mission is to empower women to become the role models they aspire to be for their children.

Recently, I've faced a few personal setbacks and am now on a journey to reclaim my own health. Over the next 8 weeks, I will be sharing some of the most effective strategies that have helped my clients lose weight, boost their energy, and feel fabulous. As I approach my 40th birthday, my goal is to enter this new decade with healthier habits and routines than ever before.

The first step in any health journey is setting clear goals and understanding exactly why you want to change. For me, my "why" is deeply personal. My youngest child doesn’t have a father, and sometimes I worry about what would happen to her if something were to happen to me. I want to be the healthiest version of myself so I can be there for her, always.

Knowing your "why" is the secret sauce that will motivate you to get out of bed early, resist cravings that don't support your dreams, and hit the gym even when you're feeling too busy or tired. But if your "why" isn’t strong enough, it won't sustain you through the challenges.

So, why do you want to change? Would you like to explore my “big why” process to uncover your own powerful motivation?

Uncovering Your Deep Why: The 7 Levels Deep Technique

Understanding your deepest motivation, or your "why," is crucial for making lasting changes in your health and life. The "7 Levels Deep" technique is a powerful tool to help you dig down to the core reason behind your goals.

Here’s how you can do it:

1. Identify Your Goal

- Start with a clear and specific goal. For example, "I want to lose 10ks."

2. Ask the First Why?

- Why do you want to achieve this goal?

- Example: "I want to lose 10kgs because I want to feel more confident."

3. Ask Why Again

- Take the answer from the first why and ask why that reason is important to you.

- Example: "Why do you want to feel more confident?"

- Answer: "Because I want to feel better about myself and my appearance."

4. Go Deeper

- Repeat the process of asking why to each subsequent answer.

- Example: "Why do you want to feel better about yourself and your appearance?"

- Answer: "Because I want to be a positive role model for my children."

5. Keep Going

- Continue asking why until you’ve done it seven times. Each level will bring you closer to your core motivation.

- Example:

- "Why do you want to be a positive role model for your children?"

- "Because I want them to grow up healthy and confident."

- "Why do you want them to grow up healthy and confident?"

- "Because I want them to have a better life and avoid the struggles I faced."

- "Why is it important for you that they avoid the struggles you faced?"

- "Because I want them to be happy and successful."

6. Reflect on Your Deep Why

- By the seventh level, you should reach a profound, emotional reason that truly resonates with you. This is your deep why.

- Example: "Because I want them to be happy and successful, and I believe my health and confidence will set the foundation for their future well-being."

7. Write It Down

- Write down your deep why and keep it somewhere visible. This will serve as a constant reminder of your true motivation and help you stay committed to your goals.

Try this technique and see how uncovering your deep why can transform your motivation and drive. Remember, the stronger your why, the more resilient you will be in the face of challenges.
